20 years ago I accidentally left one of these on the rocks at a great fishing hole. Went back the following season and of course it was gone... I always wanted another one. The flat design makes it easier to pack in a daypack or carry slung over your shoulder, unobtrusively under your arm. It stays out of my way when casting a fly rod or shooting my bow. It's a good size, though I can drink a lot of water when I am out, so I wish it was a .25l larger.As for other reviews knocking the quality of this, all I can say is mine is perfect. All seams are well constructed and the material looks durable. I have had it with me twice in the woods and it does what it is supposed to do!One review said his lid broke and he can't find a replacement. I tried the lid from a maple syrup bottle, and the lid from a chocolate syrup bottle--both made great replacements.
